Description

Spinach sprouts are rich in vitamins and one of the best supplemental sources of vitamin K, a bone-building nutrient. Vitamin K plays a key role in bone building and activates osteocalcin, which keeps calcium molecules in the bones. Moreover, the content of vitamin C in spinach sprouts is higher than that of ordinary vegetables. Regular consumption can maintain normal vision of the eyes and prevent night blindness. Spinach sprouts are rich in iron, which can improve iron-deficiency anemia and make people look rosy and shiny.

How to grow spinach sprouts

1. Seed soaking
Spinach seeds are relatively small, very hard, and contain a lot of impurities. Therefore, it is necessary to pick out the impurities in the spinach seeds and the seeds that are not full.

2. Sun seed
Put the selected spinach seeds and put them in the sun to dry for 5-6 hours. During the drying process, the germs attached to the surface of the seeds can be killed, which can reduce the occurrence of spinach sprouts diseases.

3. Seed soaking
Soak the seeds in water for 12-24 hours first, and stir them thoroughly in the water so that the seeds can absorb water evenly.

4. Germination
Immediately rinse with clean water 3 to 4 times while rinsing and filter the water. After filtering the water, put it in a container and cover it with a damp cloth to promote germination. The temperature is controlled between 15-20 degrees to promote germination, and most of the seeds can be put on the shelf for management after 3-4 days.

5. On the shelf
Spread a layer of seedling paper on the bottom of the seedling tray, place the germinated seeds neatly on the seedling paper, soak the seeds and seedling paper with water, and place them on the rack for seedling management. During the nursery period, the temperature is controlled at 10-15 degrees, and water is sprayed twice a day to ensure that the seeds are moist and not waterlogged.

6. Harvest
The growth cycle of spinach sprouts is about 12 days. The finished product is 4 to 6 cm high, with green leaves, ready to be harvested.
