Description
Pennisetum alopecuroides (L.) Spreng.), perennial. The fibrous roots are thicker. The culms are erect, clustered, densely pilose under the inflorescence. The caryopsis are oblong, about 3.5 mm long. Leaf epidermal cell structure is different in the upper and lower epidermis; upper epidermal intervein cells 2-4 are long cylindrical, corrugated, and thin-walled long cells; epidermal intervein 5-9 are long cylindrical, thick-walled cells.
